Macy’s, through its 2016 “Buy 1 & We’ll Donate 1” campaign, donated 35,000 brand new coats to Clothes4Souls! Working in partnership with local charities and service organizations in a number of cities across the U.S., Clothes4Souls is now distributing the much-needed cold weather clothing to needy men, women and children throughout the season. This is the fourth year of the partnership between Macy’s and Clothes4Souls, resulting in a total of 165,000 coats distributed nationwide since 2013, with retail value of more than $6.6 million.
Take a sneak peek below:
2,000 coats were given away all across the state of Tennessee. After the fatal Gatlinburg fires, our team was able to give 300 coats to those who lost everything. A few days later, we had the privilege of distributing 450 coats to the homeless community at the Nashville Rescue Mission. Country music artist, Brett Eldredge stopped by to help spread the holiday cheer!
450 coats were given away at The Bowery Mission in New York City. They have served homeless and hungry New Yorkers since 1879, and we are so grateful to help keep them warm this winter!
600 coats were distributed to various schools in the Atlanta area. Former NBA star, Shaq joined in to help us spread the warmth this winter!
1,800 After-School All-Stars students were surprised with brand new winter coats!
Magic Johnson helped spread the holiday cheer across the metro Detroit area again this year. Altogether, Clothes4Souls and Macy’s were able to give 2,000 warm coats to those in need!
Other cities that participated include Dallas, New Jersey, Phoenix, San Francisco, Providence, Minneapolis, Las Vegas, Portland, Seattle, St. Louis, Cleveland. Baltimore, Denver and Baton Rouge.
