India is the world’s largest democracy and second largest country by population. Home to some of the world’s most ancient surviving civilizations, the Indian subcontinent is both vast and varied in terms of people, language and cultural traditions. Though their primary language is Hindi and English, over 100 languages are spoken among different groups of people! India also houses the world’s highest mountain range, the Himalaya, the Thar Desert, jungles, and is surrounded by water on three of its sides.

This trip is available for ages 10 years and older. Those under 18 MUST be accompanied by an adult. Price does not include domestic or international airfare.

Sample itinerary

Day 1 – Arrive in Delhi and journey to the hotel to settle-in, enjoy a team meeting and rest up for a beautiful week of service.

Day 2 – Enjoy an immersive cultural excursion in New Delhi then meet the local children.

Day 3 –  Journey to Agra.

Day 4 – Early morning sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal followed by a fun-filled shoe distribution.

Day 5 – Visit local villages to give the gift of shoes.

Day 6 – Journey to Jaipur.

Day 7 – An unforgettable day spending time with children and families.

Day 8 – Serve the locals with new shoes and end the day with an immersive cultural excursion and some market shopping.

Day 9 – Journey back to Delhi.

Day 10 – Wrap up a wonderful experience and head home.

*This sample itinerary will change between now and the trip depending on our group and in-country partner’s availability. S4S will provide a final itinerary closer to the trip.

What do we do during the trip?
Each trip is different and unique. Our focus is providing footwear to those in need while spending time merging cultures and building relationships. On our trips, you will have the opportunity to experience and learn about a different culture first-hand.
How much does it cost to go on the trip?

Cost varies upon destination. They typically cost between $1,500 – $2,750. All payments and donations for trips are tax deductable.

Payment Schedule:

  • $250 non-transferable deposit due at the time of registration to secure your spot on the trip (Your deposit fee is included in the overall cost of the trip)
  • 1/3 cost of trip is due 90 days prior to the trip
  • 2/3 cost of trip is due 60 days prior to the trip
  • Total cost of trip is due 30 days prior to the trip

What’s included in the cost of my trip?
Lodging, meals, ground transportation, security, guides, excursion fees, travelers insurance, entry and exit fees, welcome package and materials, and a portion will go to offset the cost of shipping shoes.
How do we ensure safety on our trips?
For each trip, Soles4Souls partners with local leaders and organizations to plan and execute every detail of your trip. A travel coordinator will lead each trip along with a local guide from each country. Accommodations differ for each country and these are stated on the specific destination page. Accommodations are one of the following: hotel, guest home, community center and medical clinic. All food and water provided is safe to eat and drink.
What documents do I need?
A passport is required. Prior to your trip, you will receive a detailed information packet including an itinerary, history and cultural facts, recommended immunizations, packing list and helpful tips to assist you in preparing.
