Case Study: Skipwith Academy Soles4Souls Donation Bin Site
Skipwith Academy has chosen to partner with Soles4Souls as a long-term service learning and volunteer opportunity for our students, teachers, and management team. As educators, we understand the importance of leading by example as well as the importance of instilling qualities like empathy and compassion in our children at a young age.
Shoes are a necessary clothing staple that children of all ages can understand. Our youngest students are able to toss shoes in the bins, our preschoolers are able to connect to why we need shoes and how we can help families who may not be as economically fortunate as we are making a living and provide for their families.
Our Youth Zone and Campers can even volunteer to collect and drop off the shoes as well as understand the more complex global impact our shoe donations have.

It’s never too early to teach our children that their small footprints can make a large and lasting impression. We are fortunate to have a large presence in the Early Childhood Education field in Richmond so we are proud to be able to host collection bins at two of our locations.
