Through our 4Relief program, Soles4Souls provides more than just shoes, socks, and clothing, we offer dignity, hope, and a chance for renewal to those facing unimaginable hardships.

Our Impact

Essential Support in Times of Crisis

Relief work has been part of Soles4Souls’ DNA since 2004 when we mobilized to provide hundreds of thousands of shoes to those affected by tsunami in Southeast Asia and again in 2005 in response to Hurricane Katrina.  Since then, with the help of our generous donors, we’ve distributed nearly 10 million pairs of new shoes and pieces of new clothing to 2,000 partners around the world.

These donations for disaster relief go far beyond immediate aid, they restore health, dignity, and stability after crises like floods, wildfires, and hurricanes:

  • 4 in 5 people report improved physical and mental well-being, with fewer injuries, increased mobility, and better mental health.
  • 1 in 2 people returned to work, and 1 in 5 secured new jobs, empowered by receiving quality clothing and footwear that boost confidence and aid in job searches.
  • 90% of our partner organizations confirm that these contributions, whether through flood relief donations or providing shoes and clothing to families affected by fires or hurricanes, play a vital role in effective disaster relief.

Today I was able to get clothes, a coat, food, pants, underwear, socks and these gym shoes! I recently had to move and I wasn’t able to bring anything with me. Getting these new shoes today is helping me save money.

Each child was given a string backpack, Rosary, toiletries, dress or shirt & pants and underwear, and lastly they were given shoes. The smiles on their faces said it all. Some had been wearing old tattered, mismatched, wrong sized shoes. Many were barefoot with noticeable signs of cuts and sores which we did the best to take care of.
