13,744 kids in St. Louis are experiencing homelessness; but why give shoes to kids without homes?

A good pair of shoes can change a child’s future.

Kids who receive new shoes have more confidence, attend school more regularly, and are more physically active.
While many organizations are focused on the critical needs of food and shelter, school officials tell us shoes are essential for students to succeed in school.

The gift of shoes walks children into positive peer interaction, improved attendance, hearty self-esteem, and reduces ridicule. Our students dance, sing, and smile upon receipt of new shoes.
